About Wallace

Meet Wallace, affectionately known as Wall-E! Rescued from Devore Shelter in California, this approximately 2-year-old boy is now in a loving foster home in Mechanicville, NY, where his delightful personality is shining through. Wallace is gaining strength and confidence, discovering the joy of toys, and enjoying cuddles with his people. He gets along well with the other dogs in his foster home and shows no issues around the cats. He is learning to use the doggy door and potty training is progressing, although he still has occasional accidents. Wallace has a neurological condition akin to cerebral palsy, affecting his balance and coordination. He can navigate a few porch steps, but a home with minimal stairs would be ideal for his safety. It's important to keep large staircases blocked off. This gentle boy needs a patient family ready to help him build confidence through positive training. He sometimes shows guarding behavior and is learning to accept treats gently. His foster is working on muzzle training, and his future family should be ready to continue this while allowing him the time to adjust. Wallace has made significant strides and has a lot of love to share. He wants a family that understands his needs and celebrates his small victories. Your new best friend is just one click away.
