 We are a volunteer run rescue and donate our time to these dogs. IF you are not serious about moving forward in our adoption process, please do not apply.  __ Coco is a spayed, 2-year-old Pit Bull mix weighing 40 pounds, with a big heart, strong little muscles, and the wisest amber eyes! This pocket pittie princess nearly ran out of time at a Houston shelter, where she was on the euthanasia list alongside her six puppies. Thankfully, Coco and her babies got their second chance, and now it’s her turn to find a family of her own. Coco is currently being fostered in Austin, Texas, and is available for out-of-state adoption. Transport can be arranged by the rescue once she’s matched with an approved adopter. The adoption process includes an application, phone interview, video call with the foster, virtual home visit, and vet and personal reference checks. Coco is an affectionate, cuddly girl who wants nothing more than to be close to her favorite human. Her ideal evening involves curling up right beside you, sleeping snuggled against you, and handing out plenty of kisses. She has a nice, moderate energy level, too, so she’s happy to get out for a walk and then settle in for some quality couch time. Speaking of walks, Coco is a dream on leash! She walks nicely without pulling and stays completely unbothered by passing people and other dogs. She’s fully house-trained, knows *sit*, and is motivated by treats, making her a fun girl to keep learning with. She handles car rides and stairs with ease, too. Coco sleeps soundly in her crate overnight, though she’d much rather spend her days hanging out with her people than cooped up in a crate. She enjoys other dogs and loves to chase and play! Her enthusiastic play style would be best matched with a well-balanced canine companion who enjoys a similar kind of play. She can also be interested in chasing cats, though she’s capable of ignoring them at times, so any cat introductions would need to be thoughtful. After everything Coco has been through, this sweet girl deserves a home where she can finally be someone’s baby. She’s got the cuddles, the easygoing walking manners, and the perfect pocket-sized pittie build. All she’s missing is a person to call her own.
