About Bernie

Bernie is a lively 3-year-old, 10 lb Yorkie who will brighten anyone's day. He came to us after being surrendered by his owner, who could no longer care for him. From the moment he arrived, Bernie showed his friendly and outgoing nature, quickly warming up to people and even the large dogs in his foster home, treating them like his best companions. This little guy loves cuddling and is happiest when he’s sitting in someone’s lap. He enjoys walks and demonstrates excellent leash manners. Potty trained and crate trained during the day, Bernie prefers not to be crated at night, enjoying his freedom instead. While he’s a sweet and easy-going dog, it’s important to note that Bernie has a lot of energy.
