About Bear

Meet Bear! This charming Shih Tzu is looking for someone who spends plenty of time at home, as he thrives on companionship. Bear has a playful spirit and weighs in at around 6 pounds, an ideal weight as he gets healthier. He has a malocclusion in his jaw, so he eats a mix of dry and wet prescription food, which aids his digestion and keeps him feeling good. Bear enjoys his meals three times a day to keep up his metabolism, and the rescue will provide food to help you get started. Although Bear is doing well with potty training, he may still have an occasional accident and currently uses pads inside while also pottying outside. He sleeps in a kennel at night but loves to cuddle in your lap when the time is right. Bear enjoys playing with other dogs, and having a furry companion in his new home could ease his slight separation anxiety. Just keep an eye out; he likes to supervise you! Bear is great with children and would brighten any family. Ready to welcome this loving little guy into your life? Apply at the rescue to start the adoption process!
