About Kanu
Meet Kanu, a charming 5-year-old Siberian Husky who embodies loyalty and intelligence. He’s a well-behaved 56 lbs of love and floof ready for outdoor adventures and relaxing sunbathing sessions on the balcony. Kanu is more than just a pretty face; he’s calm and collected in public, often mistaken for a service dog. His calm demeanor shines through in restaurants, events, and during his lovely leash walks. He’s known for his cleverness, quickly picking up commands with ease. While he prefers vigilance during bath time with those classic Husky protest sounds, he enjoys the occasional zoomies around the house. This good boy is crate-trained, house-trained, and does well without separation anxiety—making him an ideal companion. He knows commands like Sit, Shake, and Down and is a work in progress on Gentle, Drop, Come, and Leave. Kanu shows no food aggression, letting you pet him while he eats and has recently discovered the joy of belly rubs. Kanu thrives with submissive dogs or as the solo fur baby. While he currently shares space with three large dogs, he chooses calm friends over anxious ones. His best buddy is a Beta Malinois named Gage. Keep in mind, he’s still developing his social skills with dogs, so controlled introductions are a must. In terms of energy, Kanu is surprisingly chill for a Husky—not demanding constant exercise. A couple of leisurely walks and some short potty break excursions will make him a happy pup. Always ready for zoomies before dinner, he can fetch but prefers lounging around. Kanu is good with dog-savvy children of all ages but has a mild prey drive for small animals, making him untested with cats. He’s a smart boy who responds best to praise, though he enjoys treats too.
