About Dilbert

Dilbert came to us as a stray in mid-September, severely underweight and with open wounds. Despite his rough start, he remains affectionate and eager to connect with others. Thanks to our amazing vet team, he has been healing and regaining weight, transforming into the playful dog he’s meant to be. His foster mom reports great strides; he’s learning several commands, including sit, shake, and wait. Treats motivate him, and he's quick to catch on. While he can be shy around new people and may need time to warm up, Dilbert is a joy once he feels comfortable. A playful spirit, he enjoys being close and will happily claim your favorite couch spot. Dilbert has a humorous side, too, showing his strong-willed personality when he decides to be selective about following commands. He's energetic and loves to run. He’s been friendly with other dogs and has gotten along well with the resident cat. With his heart of gold and sense of humor, Dilbert is ready for a loving home that understands his needs.
