Athena came to us from a hoarding situation, where her general care had been somewhat neglected. Despite her shy demeanor, she is beginning to come out of her shell after spending time in a nurturing environment. Patience and understanding are key for Athena; she may take a little while to warm up to new people and situations. However, don’t be fooled by her initial timidness. Once she builds some trust, you'll discover a sweet, friendly companion eager to share her affection. Both Athena and her companion Winter may require some house training and general adjustment as they settle in. Here at the shelter, Athena has been using potty pads, which may help in a new home setting. Remember, she needs a family that understands trust is built over time. With consistent love and support, Athena has the potential to flourish into a delightful furry friend.
