Nina is a charming five-year-old Dachshund residing in Shelbyville, TN. At 10.25 lbs, she boasts a lovely long coat of brindle cream. Nina comes from a retired breeding background and needs a patient adopter to help her adapt to a pet lifestyle. She's made progress since joining us but still requires someone who understands the needs of a socialized dog. It's crucial for Nina's new home to have a fenced yard, and she would thrive best with a well-socialized male or female dog around to guide her. While she’s currently working on her house training, she’s crate trained and up to date on all vaccinations. Nina is not a fit for homes with small children due to her timid nature, so a household with kids aged 14 and up is ideal. Since she's not yet leash trained, patience and consistent guidance are essential as she learns. If you're someone with experience fostering retired breeder dogs and can meet these requirements, Nina is ready to find her forever home. Click apply to start the adoption process.
