About Rose

Meet Rose! This 2-year-old female Australian Shepherd mix is on a journey to find her forever home. Rose came from a neglect situation and has had a tough start, kept in unsanitary conditions with little exposure to the outside world. She hasn’t experienced walks, car rides, or even basic interactions. Because of this, new adopters need to be patient as she learns about normal life. Currently in the 2nd Chance to Shine program at Fun Fur Pets in La Crosse, she is making great progress in her rehabilitation. Rose is friendly with people but prefers to be the only dog, given her selective nature. Ideally, she'd thrive in a home with children over 10, depending on the experience level of her adoptive family. While she could potentially excel as a working farm dog or a beloved house pet, that will require commitment to training. Despite her past, Rose is full of happiness and ready to embrace a loving family. If you think you can offer her the home she deserves, contact us for an appointment after completing an adoption application.
