About Lola
Lola is a sweet, sensitive girl who's really come into her own during her time at Mountain Humane. Initially scared of her new surroundings, she's blossomed in her foster home, revealing a joyful personality thanks to the loving patience of her caregivers. Lola absolutely adores other dogs and needs to live with a confident canine companion, regardless of size. Having another dog around has helped her feel secure and more comfortable with people. Once you earn her trust, she relishes in affection, often jumping up for a few extra pets. This playful pup loves stuffy toys, zooming around the yard, and of course, food—treats truly win her heart. Though she's made significant progress, sudden movements and loud noises can still make her nervous. Because of this, a home without small children is essential; teenagers might be a better fit. Lola isn't yet comfortable with wearing a harness or enjoying walks, so she needs an adopter ready to continue nurturing her confidence. Our behavior team is on hand to assist with any questions about her training. Her ideal home is one with understanding people who appreciate that building trust takes time. If you can celebrate her small victories, Lola’s journey of transformation can be incredibly rewarding. For a gentle soul with a love for backyard adventures, Lola could be your perfect match.
