About Lucy
Meet Lucy, a sweet and affectionate girl who believes there’s no such thing as too much love or too many cuddles. She thrives on attention and loves to be near her people, making her the perfect companion for a family that can offer her plenty of affection and time to settle in. Lucy is a black and tan Doberman, weighing around 60 pounds. She has natural ears, a tail, and a charming personality. She's done well with both dogs and cats, making her a friendly addition to any home. After overcoming some significant challenges with bilateral calcaneal tears and surgery, she's nearly fully recovered and is eager to enjoy life. With her braces on, she’s started to embrace short walks again and is rediscovering her playful side, with increasingly frequent zoomies! Lucy would do best in a calmer home with a predictable routine. Older children who have some experience with dogs would fit well, along with a securely fenced yard for safe outdoor play. It's important for her new family to understand her ongoing needs and to help her with her recovery by keeping her braces on when she’s active. Lucy is ready to fill your home with love and companionship. Could she be your new best friend? Lucy is currently in Arlington, VA. DAR&E adopts to MD, VA, DC, DE, eastern parts of WV, and southern parts of PA. Please check with other Doberman rescues for areas not listed.
