About Charlie Hides

Meet Charlie Hides, a joyful 80-pound, 3-year-old neutered male who has a personality as big as he is. Charlie loves to wiggle and wag his tail for pets, and he could easily snuggle up on the couch for hours. He thrives on human interaction and gets along well with other dogs, enjoying playtime with younger pups while respecting the space of older companions. Slow introductions are ideal for him to feel secure. On the leash, he’s manageable but can get distracted by squirrels and birds, indicating he would benefit from some training. Charlie is a friendly guy who enjoys meeting people but is still learning to control his enthusiasm around other dogs. He's a natural singer, especially when fire trucks pass by, and he settles down nicely when routines are in place. Charlie is potty trained and does well in a vehicle, although most crates are a bit cramped for him. While he truly has a heart of gold, he’s not the best match for little children, as he sometimes doesn’t realize his own strength. Charlie is currently in a loving foster home. If you’d like to meet him, please reach out via email to foster@friendsofdacc.org, using the subject line "Charlie Hides A185802." This could be the start of something paw-some.
