About Diesel

Meet Diesel! A spirited almost two-year-old German Shepherd and Boxer mix in San Bernardino, CA, Diesel's vibrant personality shines through his tan coat, dark muzzle, and playful energy. Weighing around 75 pounds, he embodies the lively spirit of a large dog, ready to embrace each day with boundless enthusiasm. Squeaky toys are his favorite, especially his red bone, and he's always up for a game of tug of war. Diesel is an entertaining and loyal companion, brimming with the working-dog energy that keeps an active family engaged. He's social with people, once dashing across the street to greet a neighbor, but his excitement can lead to jumping and occasional nipping, so he's best suited for a confident, experienced owner who enjoys training. He knows “stay” and has plenty more to learn! This clever pup has a knack for digging, having creatively remodeled a sprinkler system. A secure fenced yard would be ideal, along with a designated area for his digging adventures. Although Diesel is house-trained, he's recently had some regression and requires supervised outdoor trips alongside regular walks to establish a routine. While he handles brief periods alone, longer separations can be challenging for him, especially around loud noises like fireworks. Diesel has shown friendliness with dogs, including a small dog and a neighbor's Pitbull. However, a cat-free environment would be best. He is full of energy, loyalty, and charm, making him a wonderful companion for someone eager to engage in training and adventure. Are you ready for a great adventure with Diesel?
