About Carter

Carter is a charming and gentle boy who’s working hard to leave his past behind. Rescued from a challenging situation, he’s now in a safe foster home where he’s learning what it means to be a happy dog. At around 3 years old and 18 pounds, this scruffy Border Terrier and Poodle mix has a long coat that adds to his adorable appearance. Though shy initially, Carter has started to find his playful side. He enjoys the company of other gentle dogs and discovering the joys of toys and human love. Walks still intimidate him, and he sometimes prefers to lay down rather than move. A home that offers patience, love, and perhaps another dog would help him flourish even more. Carter is already house trained and is eager for an owner who will continue to support his growth. With a little time and care, he will navigate the world confidently.
