Meet Duncan, your perfect 27-pound senior snuggle expert. At 9 years old, this black-and-white terrier mix is ready to settle into his retirement home. He's a gentle companion who loves to lounge next to you in bed, stealing both your heart and the covers without a hint of shame. Duncan is a well-mannered gentleman, walking beautifully on a leash and thriving in a home without the need for crates. While he tends to handle his potty needs outside, be prepared to use a belly band initially as he adapts to your schedule. He enjoys a routine as much as a cozy afternoon nap. Socializing is one of Duncan’s strengths—he gets along splendidly with other dogs and even cats. He’s great with kids but prefers the quieter company of older children. He loves to commentate on Animal Planet and will let you know when someone’s at the door, but don’t worry, he’s not much of a barker. Health-wise, Duncan is currently heartworm positive but is on a safe treatment plan. He'll need a family who can stay on top of his monthly preventative care while he recovers.
