About Baxter Springfield

Meet Baxter Springfield, your tiny shadow with a big heart! At just one year old and weighing 18 pounds, he is the perfect little companion for anyone seeking love in a small package. Baxter came to us when a previous rescue faced overcrowding, and now he’s ready to find his forever home. Baxter is incredibly affectionate and thrives on being close to his humans. Whether you're lounging on the couch or doing household chores, he wants to be by your side. His gentle nature makes him a joy to be around; he’s a quiet boy, not the typical yappy Chihuahua. In fact, he's been praised for how well he interacts with everyone he meets, and his foster family describes him as sweet and uncomplicated. Though shy at times, especially with new animals, he shows no signs of aggression and prefers to retreat rather than react. Baxter has been getting along well with other dogs after respectful introductions. Ideally, he would thrive in a calm home with dog-savvy children aged 7 and older who know how to give him space. He needs a loving environment that helps him feel secure. With Baxter, you're not just adopting a pet; you're gaining a loyal companion who will fill your life with affection and joy. He’ll love to follow you around and make your days a little brighter. Could Baxter be the sweet companion you're looking for? Click apply to start the adoption process.
