About Bettie
Meet Bettie, the ultimate couch potato. This 5 1/2-year-old Great Dane/Labrador mix radiates warmth with her soulful brown eyes and charming dimples. Bettie's journey has not been easy; she arrived at the shelter in Roswell, New Mexico, emaciated and on the brink of euthanasia. Thankfully, she caught someone's eye and spent time in a safe foster home before making her way to Washington, where she hopes to find her forever family. With a love for the simple life, Bettie thrives in a calm environment. She’s spayed, house trained, and walks nicely on a leash. Car rides are a treat for her, and she’s great with cats. While she enjoys leisurely walks, her true calling lies in napping. Bettie is selective around other dogs, as she prefers her space. She would do best in a home where she can relax, ideally as an only dog, or with another low-energy dog who respects her boundaries. Health-wise, Bettie has Intervertebral Disc Disease (IVDD), which will require ongoing awareness and management. She needs gentle exercises, a predictable environment, and lots of love. On any given day, her ideal activities include short, slow walks, lounging on a comfortable bed, and getting plenty of snuggles. Bettie's dream is simple: a soft spot to sleep, tasty snacks, gentle walks, and a family that understands her needs. If you’re looking for a loving companion to share quiet moments with, Bettie might just be the perfect match. Every animal deserves a happy ending. This one starts with you.
