About Wellington
Meet Wellington, Wellington is a striking fellow with a personality that truly stands out. At around 5 years old and weighing 12 pounds, he's a robust cat who was initially trapped during a TNR effort. Contrary to expectations of him being feral or unsocialized, Wellington quickly displayed his friendly and engaging nature. He has a few thoughts to share: "I'm not feral. I just have opinions." This handsome boy enjoys human interaction and will let you shower him with affection on his own terms. He'll come when called, but when he's had enough petting, he'll make that clear. Wellington thrives best in a quiet home where he can feel secure and understood, especially by someone who respects feline cues. Currently, we haven’t seen how he interacts with other cats, so we recommend him as a solo companion for now. Wellington is neutered, vaccinated, and ready for a loving home. What he needs is someone willing to see beyond his community cat history and appreciate the charming companion he can be. Spend some quality time with him, respect his boundaries, and you may find that this gentle giant has an abundance of love to offer. Could Wellington be the opinionated, handsome gentleman you’ve been searching for? Wellington is at Furvana Cat Rescue in Bayonne, NJ. An experienced adopter who understands strong personalities in cats would be an ideal match. Ready to fall in love? Hit apply and let’s get started.
