About Elvis

Elvis is a large grey, shorthaired cat with a story that sticks with you. At about two years old, he wandered onto the property of one of the rescue's volunteers, battered and sporting a raw wound on his face. He came from somewhere—and it’s anyone’s guess where—but it was clear he’d taken the brunt of too many neighborhood fights. Earning his trust took patience and a few standoffs, but slowly, medication and kindness made him turn the corner. After vet care and some time to recover indoors, Elvis discovered indoor life wasn’t so bad. He now welcomes pets and especially those coveted butt scratches from his foster mom. Elvis prefers calm company—he would likely do best as either an only cat or with another older cat willing to respect his space. He’s neutered, up to date on vaccines, FeLV/FIV negative, and microchipped. Elvis might look tough, but he’s ready to trade his old scars for a soft spot in your home.
