About Peanut
Meet Peanut, an adorable 2-3 year old Terrier mix who weighs in at 12 lbs. He thrives in the company of other dogs, making it essential for him to be placed with at least one mentor dog who can help build his confidence. While heโs mostly house-trained, he has the occasional accident, so leaving a potty pad out and taking him out every few hours is advisable. Peanut is crate trained but prefers to tolerate it for short periods. This lovable guy has transitioned from a timid pup to a playful companion, showing great improvement with his harness and leash training thanks to the guidance of his mentor dogs. Peanut enjoys snuggling with his humans but also appreciates the comfort of a soft blanket or dog bed when he needs some alone time. He sleeps peacefully through the night and has developed a taste for food, now enjoying kibble with a little wet topper. Peanut can become anxious when left alone, causing some destructiveness, so a home without shared walls like apartments might be best for him. He has a playful spirit, particularly in the backyard where he zooms alongside his canine pals. This little guy would do best in a household with older children, around 8 years or older, due to his nervous temperament. Want to welcome Peanut into your home?
