Merv is a sweet little guy who came to the Stanislaus Shelter under tough circumstances, having lived in a hoarding situation with 30 other dogs. Despite his past, he has shown kindness towards everyone at the shelter and in foster care. Now in Seattle, Merv is on the mend and learning how to trust again. He’s a bit timid, often cowering when approached, but with love and patience, he’s starting to gain confidence. Merv is doing well with potty training and spends his crate time quietly. Initially, he wasn’t familiar with leash walking, but now he gets excited at the sight of it. This little dog would thrive in a calm home where he can take his time adjusting. A home with a confident dog to guide him would be ideal, along with a fenced yard since he prefers to do his business away from the leash.
