About Freya
Meet Freya! Freya is a stunning six-and-a-half-year-old Anatolian Shepherd mix living in Amherst, MA. She has a soft tan coat and a solid 95-pound frame, radiating a loving and loyal spirit. Freya balances her outdoor adventurous side with being a devoted companion and an expert snuggler. Her goofy personality is sure to bring smiles to her family. Freya enjoys hikes, long walks, and playing around with Kong toys. She thrives in an active household that can offer daily exercise, whether that's in a fenced yard or through regular outdoor adventures. After all the fun, sheβs ready to curl up close for some affection. With formal obedience training under her belt, Freya can sit, heel, stay, come, lay, and free. She's housebroken, crate trained, comfortable on a leash, and even trained off-leash with reliable recall. While she does well being left alone for short periods, sheβs not a fan of vacuums and can get a bit anxious during storms. Freya is friendly toward everyone, including strangers, and is especially gentle with children. She gets along well with other dogs and is comfortable around cats as well. Healthy, spayed, and up-to-date on vaccinations, she has no major health issues, though she occasionally faces some digestive discomfort. Freya follows a routine that includes three meals a day and plenty of activity. Her ideal pet parent will engage with her needs, ensuring she has the exercise and interaction she adores. Freya shares a deep bond with Luna, her best friend, and while she can be adopted separately, sheβd love to find a home with Luna if possible.
