About Leonardo

Meet Leonardo! Mr. Leo is a delightful young dog, around 2 years old and weighing about 70 pounds. This handsome fellow may be a flat-coated Lab mix with a splash of Australian Cattle Dog, showcasing a silky black coat that's hard to resist. At first, Leo can be a bit shy, but give him a moment to acclimate, and his goofy, affectionate nature shines through. He adores his humans and thrives on love and companionship, often leaning into you for extra pets. While he enjoys the comfort of home, he’s also up for a car ride and behaves well in public spaces. He's still beefing up his confidence, especially in new situations, but a relaxing stroll on a leash suits him well. Leo even shows potential as a running partner! He isn’t much for barking, only alerting you when someone approaches, and once acknowledged, he settles down. However, the garbage truck seems to be his arch-nemesis. Currently, he shares his space with a Frenchie foster friend and has proven to be great with other dogs in the past. His relationship with cats is still a mystery. Leonardo's quirks add to his charm. Rescued as a stray in poor health, he sometimes gives his backside a little conversation during meals because, well, that's just him! There are no underlying medical issues; he’s just uniquely Leo. His personality is all about affection and a desire to please. If you have the space in your heart and home for a sweet, one-of-a-kind pup, Leonardo is eager to meet you. What are you waiting for?
