About Bayou

Bayou is a sweet, young Foxhound mix, about 2 years old and 70 lbs, who has unfortunately faced neglect in the past. Despite this, he has an immense capacity to love and wants nothing more than to please his family. He's currently thriving in a foster home, where he enjoys playing with other dogs and eagerly follows his humans around, making sure not to miss a moment with them. Bayou exhibits a bit of separation anxiety, but he’s crate trained and settles down when his family is away. His foster family notes that he shows emotional sensitivity, responding to sadness with gentle affection. While he gets excited around food, he has no food aggression, making him a lovable companion. A calmer environment with older children and possibly another dog would suit him well, allowing him to continue learning positive behaviors. Bayou is house trained, neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations. Fenced in space would be ideal for him to roam freely.
