About Fred

Meet Fred! He's an endearing 11-month-old, 58 lb Hound mix with a story that pulls at the heartstrings. Fred found himself as a stray in South Carolina, and although he was adopted, he ended up living outside, often alone in a doghouse. Despite his past experiences, Fred is a sweet and resilient boy who just needs a little patience and love to thrive in a home environment. Fred is great with adults and other dogs, and he enjoys walks and exploring his surroundings. While he can be a bit shy initially, it doesn’t take long for him to warm up to new friends. He’s crate trained and settles nicely in the home, making him a great indoor companion. Given his size, he’s best suited for a family with older children since he hasn’t been around small kids. He would prefer a home without cats. Fred would thrive in a loving household with another friendly dog to boost his confidence. He truly deserves a warm home filled with kindness and love.
