About Taz
Meet Taz. He's a 5-year-old mix, weighing around 45 pounds, and has been through quite a journey. Rescued from a challenging hoarding situation in Ensenada, Mexico, Taz once faced confinement for up to 23 hours a day. His experience has understandably left him with some anxiety around crates and being alone. However, beneath that, he’s an incredibly loving and goofy dog who craves companionship. Taz enjoys attention, playing with his toys, and cozying up on the couch with his humans. He loves walks but prefers a more relaxed pace, making him a great choice for someone who loves low-key activities. He appreciates having dog friends; recently, he’s formed a bond with another dog, which has helped him become more comfortable in new settings. Still, he doesn't require a canine companion to be happy; he adores human affection and is content soaking up all the love he can get. Though Taz is not fond of being crated, he has shown progress in adjusting to it at home. He may have some anxiety in the crate and has needed medication to help him settle. With patience and consistency, he’s gradually building a healthier relationship with it. His ideal home would be with someone who works from home or is frequently present, understanding that his anxiety won't vanish overnight. He doesn’t need a perfect home—just someone willing to give him a real chance. Taz has waited long enough. The adoption fee is $200, which includes his neuter and vaccinations. Ready to meet Taz?
