About Vinny
Vinny is a charming little guy who has made quite the journey. He came to us after being returned to a shelter, having lived in his previous home for just two and a half months. His family described him as too submissive to their other dog. We took him in to spare him from shelter life, and since then, he has shown us his playful side with a variety of furry friendsโranging from a short-legged Basett mix puppy, a gentle 45 lb adult dog, to a couple of small pups weighing around 10 lbs. Vinny is intelligent and has quickly learned to sit for treats, mainly by observing the other dogs around him. He enjoys running and playing and walks nicely on a leash. Although he can be a bit nervous in new environments, having a confident yet gentle dog sibling can help him adjust. He does display some growliness with food when sharing with others, so feeding him separately is advisable until he learns his boundaries. Initially shy, Vinny has shown great resilience and adaptability. He simply needs someone committed to helping him thrive. At around 6 months old and weighing 23 lbs, he has a delightful mix that resembles a Dachshund and Australian Cattle Dog. Vinny is fully vetted with all vaccinations, neutered, and microchipped. Heโs eager to bond with a loving family that will give him the time he needs to flourish. Ready to make Vinny a part of your family? Apply to adopt today!
