About Vinny

Vinny is a charming young guy, learning to adjust after being returned to a shelter. Previously taken in for 2.5 months, he found himself back with us due to fitting issues with a dominant dog in his last home. He seems to thrive best with dogs his size and enjoys the company of playmatesโ€”two little dogs, a playful puppy, and a larger adult dog. Vinny is quite intelligent; he quickly picked up on commands like sit by observing his companions. He loves to play and is affectionate, making him a good match for a nurturing environment. A little nervous in unfamiliar situations, Vinny could benefit from a confident yet gentle dog to help him along. He can also show some food growliness around other dogs, so a new home with separate feeding would be ideal for him. Initially fearful after his surrender, he needs a patient family who can provide the stability he craves. With some love and time, Vinny has the potential to blossom into a wonderful companion. Heโ€™s fully vetted, neutered, and microchipped, weighing 23 lbs and close to 6 months old. Vinny is currently in Lucedale, MS but can be transported to nearby locations for adopted families.
