About Theodore

Theodore, also known as Theo, is a playful and affectionate 7-month-old Chihuahua mix currently located in Martinez, CA. We estimate he weighs around 22 pounds and is still growing. Theo is a goofy little guy with a fun personality who's full of energy. He enjoys zooming around the yard, wrestling with friends, and engaging in games like tug-of-war. After burning off his energy, he settles down nicely, showing his loving side. While he can be a bit nervous meeting new dogs and people, with time, he reveals his silly and affectionate nature. He thrives in the company of other dogs and would do best with a confident companion who can match his playful spirit. Theo gets along well with children over five, including those with special needs, but supervision is vital, especially around younger kids. Although he initially wants to chase cats, he’s shown improvement with proper guidance. Currently, he is learning vital skills such as potty training, and he can hold it through the night. He does need opportunities for outdoor breaks during the day. Crate training is a work in progress; Theo prefers a playpen but is gradually adapting. His curiosity means he finds plenty of adventures around the house. Theo exhibits some playful mischief, sometimes snatching shoes or toys. He’s also learning how to walk on a leash without fear, showing his adventurous spirit. For his ideal home, an active family committed to continued training and socialization, along with another dog for companionship, would be best. Ready to welcome a goofy, loving puppy into your home?
