About Daisy Mae

Daisy Mae is a lovely 2-year-old, 35 lb spayed female pittie mix who's made an impressive turnaround from a rough start. Rescued from a police confiscation case involving abuse, she initially weighed just 18 lbs at six months. Now, she’s blossomed into a happy, affectionate, and playful girl eager to find a forever home where she can feel safe and loved. Currently fostered in Austin, Texas, she is open to in-state adoptions, with transport options for approved adopters outside Texas. Daisy Mae thrives around kids of all ages and approaches play with enthusiasm, happily romping with dogs weighing 35 to 70 lbs. While she can exhibit a bossy demeanor during play, she benefits greatly from gradual introductions to new dog friends. Fully house-trained and crate-trained, she enjoys walks and playtime but also knows when to settle down. Health-wise, she is in excellent condition, though her foster notes a tendency for slightly runny eyes due to environmental allergies, manageable with gentle cleaning. Whether as an only pet or with a calm companion, Daisy Mae is the epitome of resilience, ready to share her heart with the right family.
