About Darcy
Darcy is a charming 6-year-old, 15 lb Miniature Schnauzer full of love and affection. This delightful little guy thrives on snuggles and would be happy to curl up in your lap for hours. He’s potty trained, crate trained, and sleeps in his crate at night, though he adores those morning cuddle sessions that kick off your day right. A playful spirit, Darcy enjoys entertaining himself with toys, exploring the backyard, and soaking up the sun, all while maintaining a low-shed coat. He’s smart; he learns quickly in his foster home and has been making great progress adapting to new situations. Though he faces some anxiety, Darcy is searching for a patient family who can help him continue to build confidence. He can be vocal when left alone or when unfamiliar visitors come near. While he’s open and curious about meeting other dogs, he tends to get overwhelmed, so slow introductions are key. Having not been tested with children yet, it’s best to approach this topic carefully. As a loving companion, Darcy needs a willing adopter to provide the care and stability he craves. In return, he’ll be your loyal, sweet best friend!
