Ellie is a young, small female dog, spayed and fully vaccinated. She is a mixed breed, combining Schnauzer and Wire Fox Terrier traits. Living in Los Angeles, CA, she is house trained and has a gentle and affectionate nature. Ellie's loving demeanor shows once she forms a bond, making her a delightful companion to her new family.

About Ellie

Ellie came to us after being rescued from a homeless encampment in North Hollywood a few months back. This sweet girl has a gentle demeanor but can be a bit shy initially. What she truly needs is a calm, loving home where she can feel secure and gain confidence to blossom. Once Ellie feels comfortable, she transforms into a loving companion, often referred to as a "Velcro dog" because she loves to stay close. Her affection shines through, especially when her foster mom returns home, sending her jumping for joy! Ellie is learning to walk nicely on a leash, as this was new for her after her previous living conditions. She can pull at times, but she’s making steady progress. To help her transition into a new home, we include three training sessions with our expert trainer, focusing on building her confidence and refining her leash skills. Ellie is approximately 2-3 years old, spayed, and up-to-date on vaccinations. She gets along well with both dogs and cats, currently residing with a cat in her foster home. She may be shy at first, but her gentle and affectionate nature shines through once she trusts you. What she needs most is patience and love; once she knows she's safe, her warm personality will emerge. Social applications only. We're excited to find Ellie a forever home!
