She’s currently in a loving foster home in Houston, Texas, with plans to transport to an approved adopter out of state. Once a street dog in North Houston, Addie faced hardships that left her nearly hairless from mange and deeply underweight. Now, she's learning the niceties of home life. Crate trained, she comfortably spends 8-9 hours in her kennel during the day and sleeps there at night. Occasionally, she’s trusted to roam free at home without issues, although settling into a new routine may lead to the occasional accident. While Addie doesn’t have a history with cats or children, she tends to be sweet and gentle. Ideally, she’d do best in a home with older, calmer kids who can respect her boundaries. Addie prefers male canine companions who are similar in size, as she mainly observes and learns how to play. Although she’s not overly playful, she’s curious about other dogs. In terms of lifestyle, Addie wishes for daily 20-30 minute walks, a yard to run in, and copious cuddles on soft couches.
