About Sophie

Meet Sophie! Sophie is a 27-pound female Lab mix currently living in a foster home in Pembroke, MA. Despite being just a baby, she radiates sweet affection and enthusiasm, adapting smoothly to the lively energy around her. Whether it's playtime or cuddle time, Sophie fits right in. She greets newcomers with a wagging tail and an eagerness for attention. This playful pup loves balls and toys, often creating little collections of her favorites. She has a quirky sleeping style, often twisting herself into hilarious positions. Sophie is making strides in her house training, with only occasional small accidents. She’s content in her crate and signals when she needs to go outside. While she collects shoes and children’s toys, she doesn’t destroy them, and gentle redirection works wonders. Dog friendly, Sophie shares her space with two senior dogs and is respectful of their boundaries while sometimes playing or cuddling next to them. She also thrives around children from infants up to age 7, showing plenty of affection and enjoying her puppy kisses. However, like many young dogs, she’s still learning to be mindful around smaller kids. Sophie hasn’t been around cats, so her behavior towards them is unknown. On the leash, she’s still gaining confidence; a bit of encouragement helps keep her moving, and she stays calm around distractions like wildlife. With part of her right ear missing, Sophie sports an endearing curl that adds to her charm. She’s ready for a family that will continue her training and shower her with all the love and playtime she deserves. Every animal deserves a happy ending. This one starts with you.
