Meet Baela! This charming 40-pound female Lab mix is on the lookout for her forever home. Born on February 4, 2026, she is currently at our shelter in Pembroke, Massachusetts. Baela is part of our Foster to Adopt program, which allows you to foster her while deciding if she’s the right match for your family. Baela has a sweet yet cautious personality. She tends to take her time getting comfortable in new situations. While she may initially hesitate to leave her crate, once outside in the familiar shelter yard, she loves playing with toys and spending time with the volunteers who care for her. Busy environments, like adoption events, can be overwhelming for her, so gradual introductions to new experiences are essential. She is dog friendly and will do best in a home with calm, respectful children aged 10 and older, who can give her the space she needs to adjust. Baela is currently working on her house training, crate training, leash skills, and basic puppy manners, which will help her thrive in a loving environment. A calmer household with a patient family will be the ideal setting for her to build confidence and let her playful side shine.
