About Cheese
Meet Cheese, a charming 45-pound Pittie with a heart full of love to give. This young and handsome boy has a playful spirit and is quite the impressive student. Heโs smart and incredibly loyal, but his background has made him cautious around new people. Abandoned in an empty apartment, he needs someone patient to earn his trust. Though he can be wary with strangers, once he feels safe, his bond is strong and rewarding. Cheese loves to play, especially tug-of-war, and is motivated by toys and treats, which makes training even more enjoyable. Heโs mastered commands like sit, down, stay, and recall. House-trained and crate-trained, he walks beautifully on a leash and has great manners at home. Cheese thrives in a calm environment and requires a family who understands his boundaries. He would do best as the only dog, as he can be reactive to unfamiliar people or fast movements. While heโs done well with respectful teenagers, he really needs experienced adopters who can read his body language. Neutered, vaccinated, and heartworm negative, Cheese is ready to find a loving home. Thanks to a generous sponsor, his adoption fee has been reduced. Foster-to-adopt is also an option, allowing you the time to bond. If youโre looking for a devoted friend who will return love tenfold, Cheese is waiting for you.
