About Possum

Possum is an adorable Retriever/Lab mix who has quickly won hearts with his playful personality. He came to the rescue from a situation with many dogs, and now he thrives in a foster home, enjoying playtime with both his siblings and older dogs. Though he is an active puppy at heart, he carries a calmer demeanor. Though still perfecting his house training, Possum is already crate trained with a bit of coaxing. His unique name comes from his time at the vet, where he had some hair loss on his tail and foot. While he hasn’t been tested with cats, he is known to get along well with dogs. Possum is loving and would do well in a home with older children. For those interested in adopting, please note that an application must be submitted online. Check out the process on Homeward Bound Dog Rescue’s website, as they hold adoption events monthly. Dogs under two years have an adoption fee of $395 while older dogs are $295. Let’s give Possum the loving home he deserves!
