About Dante

Meet Dante! Dante is a 5-year-old, 45-pound Standard Poodle with a stunning apricot and beige curly coat. His quiet, independent nature reflects his journey from a puppy mill, where he’s now discovering the joys of relaxed living and being a dog. While Dante prefers lounging over playing, he revels in his daily walks and loves to follow his favorite person around. Once you’ve won his trust, expect to have a fluffy shadow accompanying you on life’s little adventures. Dante thrives in a calm environment without children. He is comfortable with women but may need some patience around men to feel at ease. High-energy surroundings or loud noises can unsettle him, so a peaceful space will help him flourish. He's open to living with other dogs, given that introductions are gradual, and he can also coexist with cats. Although initially needing time to adjust to shared spaces, Dante has settled in beautifully with foster siblings. He walks well on a leash and is crate trained, but he’s still perfecting his potty training. His new family should be patient and consistent. Occasionally, he may howl at sirens or make a dash for open doors, so it's best to keep a mindful eye. Regular grooming will keep his curly coat in top shape. Dante’s ideal home is one that respects his quieter personality, offering tranquility over chaos. With just a few walks, a cozy spot to snooze, and a caring person to follow, Dante will blossom into the loving companion he knows he can be. Could you be the one Dante has been waiting for?
