About Daffy

Daffy is a lively and resilient 2-year-old neutered male Plott Hound mix weighing 65 pounds, currently fostered in Mooresville, NC. Rescued from the euthanasia list at BARC in Houston, he’s had a second chance at life thanks to Dizzy Dog Animal Rescue and his dedicated foster mom. This playful boy thrives on companionship and enjoys activities, especially with other dogs, making him a perfect fit for a home with playful canine companions. Daffy delights in attending doggy daycare, where he has made the honor roll. While we don't know how he gets along with cats, he’d do best with a family that can keep up with his energy—children older than 10 would suit him best as he sometimes forgets his strength when excited. Daffy is fully house-trained and crate-trained, using his crate as a secure spot. He even enjoys his meals from a slow feeder bowl to help him eat at a good pace. He responds well when called and loves playing catch. Like any young pup, he still needs some work on leash manners, as he tends to pull, and supervision is recommended to prevent him from relocating household items outdoors when left alone. Daffy is full of loyalty and seeks a nurturing home where he can flourish. If you’re an active family with playful dogs and are ready to offer him both love and guidance, Daffy is eager to join you.
