Franklin needs a patient and dedicated foster family who can support his special needs as he continues his journey.

About Franklin

Franklin is a handsome chocolate Lab looking for a fostering or foster-to-adopt home where he can thrive. At 1 year and 9 months old, he’s brimming with typical Lab energy and charm. Franklin loves everyone he meets—including kids, dogs, and cats—as every new acquaintance is a potential friend. Despite his cheerful demeanor, Franklin is navigating some challenges, including excessive thirst, house-training difficulties, and anxiety. He tends to stay close to his people and will need time to adjust. His veterinary team is actively seeking solutions, and CILRA will support his medical needs throughout his journey. This boy requires a patient and attentive adopter prepared for ongoing care and the possibility of long-term support. Franklin is crate trained and knows commands like “sit” and “lay down.” He enjoys playtime and gets along well with other dogs, so an active canine companion could be great for him. A fenced yard would provide him with plenty of space to burn off energy. If you have the dedication to help Franklin navigate his challenges, he will reveal the gentle, joyful pup underneath. If you believe you could be the right fit for Franklin, he is waiting for someone special to help him write his next chapter. What are you waiting for? Apply today!
