About Chiquis
Chiquis (pronounced “Chick-ees”) is a one-year-old, 11-pound red Chihuahua mix, ready to share her love. She came to us with her name, and it truly fits her vibrant personality. After being surrendered to the Maricopa County shelter due to a troubling situation with a larger dog, Chiquis faced some tough times. Thankfully, she made it to Home Fur Good, where she deserves a fresh start. Though Chiquis is initially a bit shy with new faces, she quickly reveals her friendly side once she's comfortable. She's easy to handle, enjoys being picked up, and walks well on a leash. Still a young pup, she’s filled with energy and will thrive in an active home that shares in her love for walks and playtime. Chiquis is learning to interact with other dogs. While she gets along with small dogs, she may need some encouragement and gentle introductions to feel secure around them. She’s also wonderful with children, making her an ideal family companion. Could you be the perfect match for this bilingual sweetheart? Chiquis is eager to find a family that will cherish her forever. Chiquis’ adoption fee is covered, which includes her spaying/neutering, up-to-date vaccinations, microchipping, and a complimentary wellness visit at Phoenix Mountain Animal Hospital.
