Doug is a young male Shih Tzu, about 2 years old, who made quite a journey to find safety. Rescued from a perilous situation, he arrived matted and smelling foul. His ears were flat against his head due to infection, revealing a sad backstory that included scabs from past attacks and the need for surgery to remove one of his underdeveloped eyes. Now, Doug is on the mend and starting to show his playful spirit. He enjoys toys and gets along well with other dogs. As a Shih Tzu, regular grooming will keep him comfortable and healthy. Doug has shown incredible resilience, and he’s ready for a patient and loving home where he can thrive. He’s already house trained and eager to share his love with a caring family.
