Silas is ready for his forever home in the Kansas City area! He has captivating eyes and a lovely brown coat. At around 3 years old and weighing about 30 lbs, his size is just right. Silas is house trained, crate trained, and doesn't have any destructive habits. He can be a bit reserved at first due to his past in a hoarding situation, but he warms up quickly. He enjoys snuggling up next to his people at night and has become quite affectionate. While he hasn't been around small children yet, he's shown no aggression toward anyone. With other dogs, Silas remains calm and has no issues meeting new friends. He seems to be warming up to the idea of playtime but prefers just being near them for now. Silas is slowly starting to collect toys, taking a few to his crate. When he first arrived, he was apprehensive on a leash, but with some training, he now walks closely beside his human and enjoys car rides. Although he has a previous broken toe, the vet has confirmed it doesn't require any treatment, and he moves comfortably without pain. Silas is neutered, current on his vaccinations, dewormed, heartworm negative, up to date on preventatives, and microchipped.
