Located in New Hampshire, meet Ruby! Ruby is a charming 9-year-old Terrier mix, weighing in at just 8 pounds. With hints of Yorkshire or Silky Terrier in her lineage, she’s a true love bug who deserves the very best life can offer. Coming into the shelter in distressing condition, Ruby was found severely matted, with an article of clothing tangled in her fur. Thankfully, she’s been shaved down and can now grow back a healthy coat. Despite her past, Ruby has proven to be one of the sweetest, most affectionate pups. Ruby adores people of all shapes and sizes. She loves being held, tends to follow her humans around, and has an adorable habit of gently headbutting you when you stop petting her. While she has a playful side, her preference is to be someone’s spoiled companion. She’s also particular about her home: Ruby needs to be the only dog as she’s not fond of sharing her space and tends to bark at other dogs. A quieter home would suit her perfectly since she’s sensitive to sudden loud noises. This little gem has a slightly unusual gait and a possible case of arthritis, but she doesn't seem to be in discomfort. With proper care and gentle exercise, she’ll regain strength and mobility. Ruby is house trained and excels in her playpen while you’re out. She enjoys car rides, walks well on a leash, and is already doing great with pee pads.
