About Goober
Goober is a one-year-old Retriever/Shepherd mix whose personality is as colorful as his tricolor coat. At around 40 pounds, he's full of life and humor—definitely living up to his name! With a knack for goofy antics, Goober guarantees that every day is filled with laughter and joy. This social pup loves everyone he meets, especially other dogs, making his foster home a lively playtime paradise. He's also friendly with cats and has even been around chickens and horses! While he may show a hint of shyness around men initially, he warms up quickly. After a tough past, he’s looking for a loving family to show him the joys of life. Goober is already crate trained and nearly house trained, plus he walks well on a leash. He could use a bit of help refining his manners, especially when it comes to doors—he's got places to go! An active home is ideal for him, and while having a playful dog sibling would be great, it's not essential if his humans can keep him engaged. Goober is currently on skin and coat chews to manage dandruff and itchy skin. Ready to welcome Goober into your heart? He'll be available for adoption starting October 20 and is scheduled to be neutered on November 11. If your home could use more laughter, love, and one enthusiastic companion, Goober is the dog for you! What are you waiting for? Apply today!
