About Amara
Meet Amara. She’s a 1–2 year old, large American Bulldog mix—full of muscle, heart, and plenty of bounce in her step (around 58 lbs). Amara’s come a long way from her rough start surviving on her own, and now she thrives in foster care, always eager to soak up attention. She’s bright and playful, and toys are the key to her heart. Toss one, and she’ll entertain herself for ages—plus, few things get her as excited as a running hose or sprinkler. When it’s time to settle, Amara can switch gears: she’ll chew a bone, work through a frozen Kong, or simply relax nearby. She’s fully house trained (no accidents, even overnight), crate trained, and already knows basics like sit and paw—she’s sharp and motivated by treats. Amara has a real love for people and hands out kisses willingly. She’d do best as the only dog in the home, and because she has a strong prey drive, she isn’t suited for houses with cats or small animals. She’s fine with teens and is expected to do well with younger kids, thanks to her easygoing side. If you want a resilient, playful, affectionate companion who’s as comfortable romping outside as relaxing indoors, Amara’s the one. She’s already spayed and current on vaccinations—all she needs is a stable, loving home with plenty of toys and attention. What are you waiting for? Apply today!
