About Rocco

Meet Rocco! This spirited 12-week-old pup is now safe in Joliet, MT, with Sky’s Path to Home, and he’s eager to find his forever family. Rocco came from a California shelter where he was part of a group of 29 puppies rescued after a homeless encampment sweep. Without his mom and at risk for euthanasia, he received a much-deserved second chance at life. While we believe he has some Black Mouth Cur in him, his exact breed mix is uncertain—he may also have bits of German Shepherd, Whippet, or Hound. Weighing in at about 8.5 pounds, Rocco is expected to remain on the smaller side, likely reaching around 30–35 pounds as an adult. He is incredibly sweet and adores being cuddled. Those beautiful eyes of his seem to look right into your soul, making it hard not to fall for him! Rocco is incredibly curious and loves following his dog friends, cats, and children around, so he would thrive in a household with other furry companions or kids. Since he is still young, he will need a patient family ready to guide him in potty training and socialization. This precious boy has come a long way from facing euthanasia to being ready for a loving home. Rocco is available for adoption, and he can't wait to be part of your family! What are you waiting for?
