About Zander
Zander is ready for adoption! This sweet boy has made remarkable progress since his difficult start. After suffering head trauma and being placed on the euthanasia list at a California shelter, he now thrives in Montana and is eager to find his forever family. At about 14–15 weeks old, Zander is a Husky/Shepherd mix, weighing 14 pounds. He is playful, energetic, and incredibly smart! He’s figured out how to turn doorknobs for a chance to go outside and even climbs chicken wire fencing—definitely a puppy who will keep you on your toes! Zander loves being petted and has learned that sitting nicely while waiting for his food can earn him some tasty treats. Due to his previous head trauma, he has some vision loss in his left eye but manages to enjoy life and explore his surroundings without any issues. Looking for an active family who can keep up with his energy, Zander needs plenty of exercise, mental stimulation, and playtime. A secure privacy fence is essential since he’s shown off his escape artist skills. He requires someone patient for training, especially during this biting phase. Therefore, he’ll do best in a home without children under 12. Zander loves other dogs and has been introduced to cats; however, interactions with other animals will need to be supervised as he learns appropriate play. He’s been through a lot, yet remains a loving and happy puppy. With commitment and the right training, Zander is set to become an amazing companion. Click apply to start the adoption process.
