About Ragnar
Meet Ragnar, an extraordinary mix of Bernese Mountain Dog and Saint Bernard. This affectionate 85-pound gentleman has the spirit of a Viking warrior and plenty of charm to share. He's a master at cuddle sessions, greeting his loved ones with paws outstretched and a wagging tail reminiscent of a happiness engine. Ragnar came to us with a bit of mystery surrounding his past. After being rehomed, he spent time as a stray, supported by kind-hearted individuals who recognized his need for safety and love. While some speculate Ragnar’s true age could be closer to three or four, he remains youthful in spirit and seems to thrive on companionship. Currently, Ragnar shares his space with other dogs, and while he’s not yet the life of the canine party, he appreciates their company. He displays a calm demeanor with cats, choosing to mind his own business while allowing them their space. Ragnar hasn’t met children yet but seems well-suited for kids who understand large dogs and can respectfully navigate his enthusiastic affection. His energy levels are moderate, sitting comfortably at about five out of ten. Ragnar enjoys outdoor adventures on a leash, though getting into the car is still a bit daunting for him. Inside the home, he’s house trained and loves to lounge on the couch with you—making himself your favorite lap dog despite his size. He craves connection, and as he adjusts to his new environment, he’ll flourish with patient teaching and clear boundaries. If you’re looking for a gentle giant to warm your heart and home, Ragnar is ready for his forever family. Let’s make it official, apply to adopt!
