Meet Ms Ham. This 8-to-10-year-old American Bulldog is a charmer with a big personality and an even bigger love for belly rubs. Whether it’s on the bed, couch, or a sunny patch of grass, Ham is all about comfort and leisure. This goofy girl epitomizes everything one could love about Bulldogs. She snores, snorts, and talks in her sleep, all while displaying her endearing gummy underbite that often has her tongue peeping out. Ms Ham has a knack for staring into your soul until you understand her not-so-subtle request for a belly rub, flopping over to ensure you know what she wants, though getting back up is occasionally a comedic challenge. At home, Ham is relaxed, low-energy, and treat-motivated. She enjoys rolling in the yard, bath time, and providing supervision for her humans, especially when nature calls. She adapts well to being left alone and does alright on a leash. Currently residing with a larger dog, she does okay but has shown a bit of food resource guarding. However, with redirection, she’s manageable. We think she would thrive as the only dog, soaking in all the attention. She has done well with older children and adults, but her history with cats and younger kids is a mystery. Like many Bulldogs, she requires some maintenance. Ham is undergoing treatment for skin and allergy issues and will need ongoing management, including medicated baths. Also, she comes with all the snorts and snores typical of her breed. Ms Ham seeks a family that appreciates life’s little pleasures: snack time, cozy naps, and plenty of belly rubs.
